Ray Roberts

Showroom Director

Originally from Schenectady, NY, Ray has been involved with cabinetry and design since high school. As a senior designer for Columbia Cabinets, he excels at the challenges of designing a functional and, at the same time, aesthetically pleasing kitchen. What excites Ray is bringing to a client’s project the enormous technical advantages of the WoodMode and Brookhaven cabinetry lines and designing in a way where their integration is seamless. Ray and his wife look forward to celebrating their son Jack’s first birthday!

Amy Van Wie

Senior Designer

Amy brings a creative edge to her designs here at Columbia Cabinets. She grew up in East Greenbush, NY and graduated from Cazenovia College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design. Her interest in design began as a child when she received her Barbie mansion. From there, her love for textures, colors and seeing how a room came together grew. When she’s not designing, Amy has been competing in dart tournaments since she was 9 years old. She now competes professionally along the east coast and plays in the local league at Quigley’s in East Greenbush, NY.

Justina Auer

Designer

Designing for Justina has always been an art form. Her years at The Sage College of Albany, where she earned her BFA in Interior Design, honed in on the art of design. In all aspects of life, Justina sees interior spaces as a living piece of art. Using her keen sense of space planning and aesthetic eye, Justina really loves to transform an entire space or an entire home. Justina grew up in Upstate New York, but spent some time in Portland, OR where she learned the gift of easy living. She now lives in a beautiful Brownstone apartment in Albany, NY with her boyfriend and their cat. When Justina isn’t spending every waking minute designing and researching new design techniques and trends, she loves drawing, painting, cooking eclectic foods and reading comics.

Sarah McDonald

Designer

Sarah has been creatively designing kitchens for over ten years. Prior to becoming a kitchen designer, she worked as an interior decorator, tying together entire rooms, from paint and wallpaper selections to flooring, lighting and accessories. This experience of focusing on the entire picture makes Sarah particularly well suited for multi-room millwork projects. Sarah grew up in England which adds a historical sensitivity to her designs, When Sarah is not designing, she is instructing Zumba classes, taking amazing photographs, gardening or hiking with her husband and children.

Mary Joyce

Designer

Mary ventured into the design business over 20 years ago and has been specializing in kitchen and bath design for the past 10 years.  An avid DIY’er, Mary loves to dabble in all phases of construction and design, making her a favorite with installers for her razor sharp attention to detail. Mary has raised two beautiful children and in her spare time, she loves fine wine, cooking and playing tennis, (but not at the same time, of course!)

Michele Weiser

Showroom Administrator

Columbia Cabinets welcomed Michele after a varied career in the not-for-profit arena as a major gifts officer and grant writer. Prior to joining Columbia Cabinets, Michele, realizing her passion for all things related to food, was general manager of Drummer’s Kitchen, where she successfully launched their cooking school. Her heroine is Julia Child and she famously weaves Child’s quotes into her daily lexicon. Staff favorite: “If you’re afraid of butter, use cream.”
